Hyperactivity – symptoms, causes and ways of coping

Hyperactivity is a term that is cropping up more and more frequently in discussions about the mental health of children, young people and adults. It is sometimes equated solely with an excess of energy, but in reality it is a far more complex phenomenon. It can affect emotions, behaviour, concentration and day-to-day functioning at home, […]

Sensory overload – symptoms, causes and ways of coping

Sensory overload is a condition in which the nervous system receives more stimuli than it is able to process effectively. It can affect anyone, but is particularly common amongst highly sensitive people, those with neurodiversity, and those living under chronic stress. Please enter your email address in the registration form, and we will get back to you with a date for your consultation. During the consultation with a parent, we assess the child’s functioning and, based on this, select a therapy group that is appropriate in terms of age and level of social functioning.
No. We only accept bookings for an assessment consultation; placement in a group is decided by a specialist. We organise groups thematically: we group children according to their age, level of social functioning and programme objectives, as the effectiveness of the training depends on the group’s composition. The timetable shows the days and times when we hold sessions, and we will provide a specific proposal following the consultation.
We run TUS sessions at two branches of the Dialog Centre for Children and Families in Warsaw: at 3C Cybernetyki Street in Mokotów and at 19 Słomińskiego Street in Śródmieście. We take the location into account when selecting a group, but the decisive factor is ensuring the group composition is suitable for the child.
TUS is a regular programme running throughout the school year, from October to June. Each session lasts 45 minutes. The groups are small and fixed: the composition remains the same throughout the duration of the sessions, which helps the children build secure relationships and gives everyone the space to participate actively.
Yes. The programme is also designed for children with ADHD, on the autism spectrum, with anxiety disorders or other developmental difficulties, always following prior consultation with a specialist who will assess whether this form of support and this particular group are suitable for the child.
The cost of a single TUS session is up to 110 zł per person. We will provide you with the full price list and the cost of a consultation when you contact the registration team, once you have submitted your application via the form.
The results become apparent gradually. Children begin to understand their emotions better, find it easier to form relationships and are more willing to cooperate with others. The pace is individual and depends on the child’s needs and how regularly they attend the sessions.
