Private Psychological and Educational Counselling Centre: what does this mean?

The status of a non-public clinic is not merely a formality, but entails specific rights and obligations. In practice, this means that:

  • Our assessments and reports may form the basis for a child to receive psychological and educational support at nursery or school (including under the WOPFU and IPET schemes). They are also recognised by public counselling centres as official documentation in the procedure for issuing a statement on the need for special educational needs. The statement itself is issued exclusively by a public psychological and educational counselling centre.
  • The opinions, certificates and diagnoses we issue have the same legal validity as documents issued by public health centres and are recognised by nurseries, schools and other educational institutions.
  • We operate in accordance with the applicable education legislation, taking into account the standards and guidelines issued by the Ministry of National Education.
  • Our team consists of qualified specialists: psychologists, educationalists, therapists and diagnosticians, whose qualifications have been formally recognised by the relevant institutions.

As part of our counselling service, we carry out assessments which result in reports
that parents can use straight away at nursery,
school or before an examination board:

an ADHD diagnosis, together with a report for the school, which means that a visit to the Public Psychological and Pedagogical Counselling Centre can be avoided, and the documentation from our centre can be forwarded directly to the educational institution

Educational reports, together with examination results, can be submitted directly to the school management, as they are recognised by examination boards and teachers.

As a therapeutic centre, we provide top-quality therapies in the fields of sensory integration, speech and language therapy, and psychology, delivered as part of the WWR programme and funded by the Warsaw City Education Office.

To be eligible for free WWR sessions, you must have a report on the need for early developmental support, issued by a public psychological and educational counselling centre. You may only attend WWR sessions at one centre. You can find more information on the WWR page.
