Are you wondering how to help your child calm down, manage their emotions better or experience new stimuli in a safe way? Book them onto a course at:
Snoezelen Room
The World Experience Room – Warsaw
We invite you to a unique space that combines relaxation and therapy in a safe, welcoming environment.
The Snoezelen room is a place where a child can experience sensory stimuli in a structured way that is tailored to their needs. Light, sound, touch and smell work together to create an environment that promotes calm, helps regulate the child’s state and supports sensory development.
Classes in the room help both to reduce tension and sensory overload, and to stimulate and develop awareness of one’s own body and surroundings.
We draw on tried-and-tested methods and the expertise of our specialists, ensuring that every session is comfortable, safe and tailored to the child’s abilities.
Snoezelen
It is a space that allows stimuli to be provided when they are needed, or limited when the child needs to calm down and regulate, within a safe and carefully planned environment.
This is a place designed for children and young people with a range of developmental needs, both neurotypical and neurodiverse, including those on the autism spectrum, those with ADHD, and those with physical or intellectual disabilities.
Classes in the activity room support children who are experiencing difficulties with their development, behaviour or day-to-day functioning. Their aim is to support the development of cognitive, perceptual and motor skills, as well as to improve self-regulation and comfort in daily life.
The World Exploration Room is a multi-purpose space. It can help children to relax, become more active, experience sensory stimulation and engage in creative, therapeutic activities, always in a way that is tailored to the child’s needs.
Who is the Snoezelen Room for?
• children and young people with a range of developmental needs
• children who need a safe space in which to experience and explore the world
In what situations does the Snoezelen room have a therapeutic effect?
• autism spectrum
• psychomotor hyperactivity and ADHD
• intellectual or physical disability
• support for sensory and emotional development

Multisensory stimulation
Multisensory stimulation is a form of therapy that involves simultaneously stimulating various senses in a controlled and safe environment. This enables the child to better perceive, understand and respond to stimuli from their surroundings.
This method supports the development of perception and sensory integration, and also helps to regulate responses to stimuli. It is used both with children with a range of developmental needs and as a means of supporting general development and functioning.
Soundproofing
In situations where there is an overload of stimuli, the Snoezelen room can provide a safe space to calm down and regain one’s balance.
The ability to adjust light, sound, scent and the intensity of stimuli allows the environment to be tailored to the child’s current needs. Focusing on selected elements helps to reduce tension, improve concentration and promote deep relaxation

What an amazing adventure!
The Snoezelen room is not only a therapeutic space, but also a place that naturally engages the child and stimulates their curiosity.
Thanks to the variety of elements and ways in which the sessions can be organised, the child can experience new stimuli through free and safe exploration. This approach fosters imagination, motivation and a desire to learn, whilst maintaining the therapeutic nature of the session.
One-to-one lessons
Sessions in the Snoezelen Room are conducted on a one-to-one basis, with attentive support from a therapist. The therapist’s role is to suggest activities and adapt them to the child’s needs and pace.
During the session, the child is given the space to choose freely and explore what they need most at that particular moment. The therapist observes their reactions closely in order to better understand their emotions and difficulties, and to respond appropriately.
In the Snoezelen approach, stimuli are introduced gradually and in an organised manner, which helps children to process and integrate them more effectively, whilst also promoting their comfort and sense of security.
Script-based classes
Script-based activities in the Snoezelen Room combine therapy with an engaging form of work based on the child’s imagination.
During the sessions, a variety of ‘worlds’ are created – ranging from peaceful spaces that encourage calm to more stimulating experiences inspired by, for example, nature, space or the underwater world. Each session has a specific structure, whilst at the same time allowing room for spontaneity and the child’s individual needs.
All the proposed activities are therapeutic in nature and are designed to support sensory integration as well as cognitive and emotional development.
Why it’s worth it
• stimulating the various senses in a structured and safe manner
• enhancing sensory integration through tailored experiences
• developing imagination and creativity through participation in a variety of scenarios
• the opportunity to wind down and recover after intense sensory experiences
The sessions end with a relaxation exercise, which helps the child process their experiences and regain their balance.
SEE The lesson plan for the Snoezelen room: ‘Underwater Adventure’
Duration: 45 minutes
Target group: Children aged 6–10, including those with sensory integration disorders
Objectives:
• to stimulate the senses of sight, hearing and
touch • to develop imagination and
creativity • to promote concentration and
attention • to learn relaxation techniques and how to cope with stress
Description of the space:
The room is decorated in shades of blue and green, with light projections creating the effect of shimmering water. In the background, you can hear the gentle sound of waves and the sounds of underwater creatures.
Course programme:
Introduction (5 minutes)
A story about an enchanted underwater world, where children become explorers of the deep. The children share what they would like to discover underwater.
A journey into the depths of the ocean (10 minutes)
The children take their places on the ‘submarine’ (mats on the floor). Using a light ball, they observe ‘sea creatures’, whilst the therapist tells a story about their world.
Underwater Treasure Trove (10 minutes)
The children explore a ‘treasure trove’ filled with objects of different textures. They identify them by touch and describe their impressions.
Dancing with Jellyfish (10 minutes)
Using scarves and light, the children move to the rhythm of calm music, imitating the movements of jellyfish.
Relaxation (10 minutes)
The children rest on mats whilst listening to calm music. The therapist leads a short relaxation session incorporating elements of visualising the underwater world.
Conclusion (5 minutes)
A brief discussion to summarise the lesson and for the children to share their thoughts.
Materials: projector, light ball, a box containing objects with different textures, coloured scarves, mats, music
This scenario serves as an example of a session in the Snoezelen room. It can be adapted by the therapist depending on the children’s needs and responses, in order to best support their development and sensory experiences.
