Speech and language therapy
Individual speech and language therapy – Warsaw
Neuro-speech therapy combines knowledge from the fields of neurology and speech and language therapy, focusing not only on symptoms such as difficulties with speech or articulation, but above all on their causes. It is particularly helpful in situations where standard speech and language therapy does not produce the expected results or where the difficulties have a neurological basis.
A neuro-speech therapist has specialist knowledge of the functioning of the nervous system and the structure and functioning of the speech organs. During therapy, they take into account, amongst other things, the function of the cranial nerves, muscle tone and the coordination of functions such as breathing, sucking and swallowing. This makes it possible to tailor treatment methods precisely to the child’s individual needs.
Speech and language therapy is used, amongst other things, for newborns and infants with feeding difficulties, as well as for children with speech and communication disorders resulting from neurological factors. Its aim is to support the development of the functions necessary for normal speech, eating and communication, in a way that is tailored to the child’s abilities and rate of development.
Speech and language therapy consultation
A neuro-speech and language therapy consultation is designed to assess and diagnose difficulties with speech, language and communication, particularly where these may stem from the functioning of the nervous system. Its aim is to understand the causes of the difficulties observed and to plan appropriate therapeutic interventions.
This session is designed for children and young people who face challenges in their communication development, including those related to developmental disorders or other neurological factors affecting their functioning. The consultation helps to identify the child’s individual needs and set out a plan for further support, so as to effectively foster the development of their communication skills.

Individual speech and language therapy
Speech and language therapy is a specialist form of support focused on the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of primary functions, speech, language and communication, which may have a neurological aetiology. It is based on an interdisciplinary approach, combining knowledge from the fields of speech and language therapy, neurology, anatomy and psychology.
Who is it for?
• premature babies•
children with special
developmental needs•
muscle tone disorders• cerebral palsy•
speech apraxia,
aphasia• other neurological difficulties affecting speech and communication development
The aim of the therapy
• support for
cognitive functions• development of
communication skills• therapy for primary functions such as breathing, sucking and
swallowing• improving the function of facial muscles and regulating muscle tone in the
orofacial region• supporting neurological development tailored to the child’s abilities
Early speech and language therapy intervention
Early speech and language therapy intervention is the process of identifying and supporting the development of speech and communication in children at the earliest possible stage of life. It enables any difficulties to be identified quickly and measures to support the child’s development to be put in place at an appropriate early stage.
Who is it for:
• children with congenital conditions that may affect speech and communication development, e.g. cleft palate
• children whose speech and communication development is not age-appropriate
• premature babies
• children with reduced muscle tone
• children with difficulties in sucking and swallowing, and abnormal movement of the lips and tongue
Objectives
• early detection of delays and difficulties in speech, language and communication development
• supporting the child’s development and fostering their communication skills
• preventing difficulties from becoming more severe and minimising their impact on social, emotional and educational development

Speech and language therapy using ENMOT
Speech and language therapy using ENMOT (electro-neuromobilisation of the facial area) is a modern complement to conventional therapy. The method is based on controlled electrical stimulation, which supports the functioning of the nerves and muscles responsible for speech and swallowing.
This makes it possible to improve coordination, muscle strength and range of motion in the face, mouth and throat.
The aim of the therapy
• strengthening the muscles responsible for
articulation• improving control over the muscles involved in
swallowing• increasing the flexibility and range of motion of the facial and oral muscles
Who is it for?
• children with difficulties relating to the strength and coordination of the muscles involved in
speech• children with swallowing and
muscle control disorders• children with difficulties with pronunciation and articulation
The effects of the treatment
• improving the safety and efficiency of swallowing•
increasing the strength and endurance of the muscles used for speaking and eating•
supporting clearer, more fluent communication

The Pick & Up Scheme
We’ll bring your child to and from nursery.
The carer takes them to their therapy session and brings them back, all within the nursery’s opening hours. This
means the therapy fits into a day that’s already planned,
so you don’t have to take time off work or organise your afternoon around travel arrangements.
You can trust us
We understand that discussions about a child’s speech development and communication difficulties require care, a calm approach and a great deal of sensitivity.
That is why, at the Dialog Centre for Children and Families, consultations are conducted by experienced speech and language therapists and neuro-speech therapists who work with children and young people. Our specialists possess the relevant qualifications and clinical experience, and join the team following a multi-stage recruitment process.
